This Chevron Amethyst is dreamy!

The Chevron Amethyst is also known as the Dream Amethyst, the Dog Tooth Amethyst, or the Banded Amethyst. The name Chevron Amethyst comes from the many V shapes which come from the white quartz binding with the amethyst. It's like getting a spiritual two-for-one deal with the metaphysical properties of quartz and amethyst combined.

Compared to normal Amethyst, Chevron Amethyst is far stronger when working with the higher chakras. It focuses on the third eye and crown chakras, activating and connecting the two. This particular crystal is a powerhouse when it comes to thinning the veil and amplifying the third eye. It stands 10.5 inches tall and weighs almost 3.5 pounds! In addition, it is a Generator formation crystal.

A Generator is a crystal point with six, usually triangular, faces all meeting together at the tip of a central termination. It's a powerful crystal formation that amplifies its properties and our intentions. A Generator is a high-impact and healing crystal and also balances earth energies.

Chevron Amethyst is said to increase the vividness and clarity of dreams. With this big fellow, your dreams just might become reality! The crystal has lovely layers of deep purple, lavender, white, and brown tones with some sparkle throughout. One of the sides is tapered at the bottom (see photo). On the taper, you'll see some natural concavities which lead me to believe that the carver worked with the natural form of the stone and instead of sacrificing the height of the crystal, chose to give it a tapered edge. It still stands strong and tall, it doesn't affect its balance.
