Archaen Butterstone was discovered on the Southern tip of Africa. This stone is over 2.5 Billion Years Old! It was formed during the Archean Period when the continents were just forming. This prehistoric stone predates almost every life form known to exist on Earth.
Within its layered shades of beautiful greens, many pieces contain evidence of the beginnings of life on Earth in the form of microfossils of Blue Green Algae Stromatolites. These stones are partially polished, so you can experience them in natural and polished forms. It is a humbling experience to hold a piece of ancient history in your hands contemplating its formations and wonder at its origins. The stone has a "warm" feeling and is very smooth to the touch on its polished surfaces. It is very pleasant to hold and rub - you will see why it's referred to as "buttery."
This stone promotes perseverance, strength, stability, and connection to life. It is sometimes referred to as the dream stone, it is said to help us to remember and resolve our dreams.
The Archaen Butterstone will vary in size and weight. Most are at least 2" and often 3" or more. The stone will come in a box with an informational pamphlet.
