Selenite, Satin Spar Rough Bar 2.5" Wand

These rough Selenite bars are such a handy spiritual tool to have on hand. You can use them just like you would a Selenite Wand or any other shape of Selenite. There's no wrong way to use this "liquid light". I like to use Selenite to "brush my aura" in the morning and the evening. I start at the top of my head and work my way down. When I have a headache I will place the Selenite on or near the area that seems to be the source of the pain and it usually goes away or reduces significantly. Other ways to use a Selenite bar:

• Use it for Reiki work
• To cleanse your aura

Satin Spar/Selenite is a very soft mineral. It can scratch and chip very easily so be gentle. These bars are in rough form so they will be slightly chalky and not uniform in shape, this is normal. It is also a water-soluble mineral so do not soak your selenite. You may quickly rinse and dry your selenite if necessary, but it's best to avoid water altogether.

Satin Spar and Selenite are the same minerals, a form of gypsum, but they crystallize differently to form either Selenite or Satin Spar. Most of the time, what is called Selenite is Satin Spar. The good news is that Selenite and Satin Spar have nearly identical energetic properties (the rarer Selenite just tends to intensify those properties). 

Satin Spar is known as a highly spiritual gemstone of purification. It's like a big ol' ray of sunshine for your body, mind, and soul. Mentally and emotionally, it brings clarity, awareness, and insight to your thoughts and decisions. It helps you to be honest with yourself and let go of the things that no longer serve you.

Selenite (Satin Spar) works closely with the higher chakras, the Crown, the Third Eye, and the Heart chakra. It opens the heart and mind, fills them with love, and connects them to the higher or angelic realms. It also helps one awaken or strengthen psychic abilities.

In addition, Selenite is considered a stone that doesn't need to be cleansed or charged and can cleanse and charge other crystals. It's essentially a battery charger for you and your crystals.
