Citrine Cluster, Burnt Amethyst, From Brazil, 1.97 Pounds

This beautiful crystal cluster from Brazil is burnt Amethyst (heat-treated Amethyst), often categorized as Citrine. Since natural Citrine is more rare Amethyst is heated in a kiln to nearly 900 degrees to give it the color of natural citrine. Think of it this way, Natural Citrine is heated by the sun and burnt Amethyst is heated by man. According to the lapidary traders' codex, it is OK to call it heat-treated amethyst citrine, however, I will always note in my listings when the citrine is natural or heat-treated.

 I think this is a gorgeous crystal. It's like a little mini mountain of sparkly sunshine. It also, from certain angles, resembles several curvaceous body parts. It measures 3.33" x 5.23" x 3.26" and weighs 1.98 pounds.

Some people believe natural Citrine and burnt Amethyst have the same energetic properties, while others say heated amethyst still retains amethyst properties, and others say it changes to citrine properties. I feel it's all about intention so wherever you put your attention and intention is what you will receive. It's all up to you!
